we love SuMmeR!!

ok, so its not technically summer yet, but come on! when its highs of 89-90 everyday for a couple weeks, we go ahead and consider it summer here in the sunshine state. here are some fun pics of the kids from the past week:

silly jack

its gotta be hard... playing at the park, taking naps, and eating ice cream, huh ellie!?

one thing i have learned as a mom is to pick my battles. lets just say i didnt even want to fight this one with our very determined jackman.
this past saturday the entire southeast participated in a HUGE service day. each stake came up with a service project to participate in. our stake decided to do "reel fun, real friends" and teach mentally and phisically handicap people to fish. (any guesses on who came up with this idea?!) (oh yeah, and any guesses on who designed the shirts?!) unfortunatelly i had to watch the kids while chris went, but i heard from all who attended that it was a big success. i think this was one of the biggest fish of the day! while bo and chris were fishing, larissa and i took the kids to a splash park. it was PERFECT for the little ones. and for only $2...you can guess where we will be spending our summer!
KERSEY CAME TO VISIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
words cannot express how good it was to spend time with kerz and her little family. elliott is PERFECT! what a good little babe he is. we spent a lot of time together, most of it involved food, naturally, and was way too short of a trip! elliott spent most of his time with grandma campbell, which was fine with me because i know its good for a mom to have a break occassionally. this was the only clear picture i snapped, but i know kersey has a couple more. jack ADORED elliott, but its hard not to :) we took a trip down memory lane and visited a few places we'd go to alot growing up. i have been blessed with an AMAZING friend!
this morning chris and i took the little ones to the beach. ahhhh, perfection! the water was soooo clear and blue. anyone who sees this water cant help but smile. rikki, marissa, natalie and lisa, this is what you have to look forward to next week!!!!!!

i couldnt find jack's basket so....

THE WEDDING!!!!!

this was at our hotel. it was so nice. it was a family suite. it was two rooms (both with king size beds), two bathrooms and a kitchen. it also had two living areas with sleeper sofas. it was fun to be with the kids and all the girls the night before the big day!

the BEAUTIFUL COUPLE!

i was lucky enough to do alli's hair and make-up. that was a lot of fun. i was also allowed to go into the bridal room with alli and my mom. that was very special to me.

jacob is the youngest of five. his oldest sister Dani and her husband were able to come for the wedding. dani is an AMAZING seamstress and she made alli's wedding dress! alli didnt try on her dress untill 11:00 the night before the wedding, and incredibly no alterations were needed! all i can say is "WOW!"

Dani and her husband Dave stayed at our house untill Sunday morning. they were such a sweet couple and im glad that we were able to get to know them. alli is very lucky to be a part of the Call family!

we put up 3 of these light "canopies" through out the yard...im not looking forward to taking them down! it was absolutely gorgeous!

i Mi marido guapo !

the strawberries were as big as apples, and they tasted great too!

we ended the week with a talk given by me in sacrament meeting and chris giving a lesson in a spanish ward conference young men's meeting! we are glad this week is over, but at the same time, we are sad to have everyone gone as quickly as they came!

8 year olds with drills

hey everybody! i wanted to tell you all about our achievement days activity that we had last night. brother brower came to teach the girls all about handyman jobs and tools. it was sooooOOOOoooOo much fun! he taught them how to check the oil and change a flat tire on the car. then he showed them a variety of tools and their purposes. afterwards they had a little quiz to win starburst candies. they kept saying "this is so cool!". at one point he had the girls try to screw a screw into wood by hand and they were complaining that it was too hard and took too long so chris said "well then how about we use THIS!" and pulled out his drill! the girls thought that was awesome, they loved using it. everything was so hands-on that i think anyone would have had fun!
chris is remodeling our guest bathroom right now. its going to look FABULOUS! i cant wait to post some before and after shots!!! he is quite the handyman!
