wedding preparations are under way! she's got the dress. thats what we are doing in the picture below.
we were going to order a small plain white fondant cake and then add white ribbon and orchids to it, and then serve sheet cake. i couldnt stand the thought of spending $$$ for a cake that wasnt even going to be served so i practiced making my first fondant cake. delayna approved and now i will be making a wedding cake! two layers of which will be styrofoam. this picture isnt the greatest...and the brown ribbon will be white...and it will be on a nice cake stand. the cake stand from my wedding actually :)

wow lease! that's amazing! You know, I don't know if I have ever tried fondant cake, but everyone tells me it's not that great. I have been to weddings where they have had it, but I have never eaten any. From what I hear, I totally understand why you are having sheet cake in addition to this lovely creation!
That looks REALLY pretty, Lis! I'm SO GLAD all the girls got married before me to work out all the kinks...my weddings going to ROCK! Ellie is beautiful. Without a doubt, the cutest baby girl ever :)

If I had only known you did wedding cakes, too!!! (What don't you do!) Someone asked me a couple of weeks ago if I knew someone who did wedding cakes and I said no. I'll be sending 'business' your way next time - get that price sheet ready! Melanie Smith
