in june we celebrated bart and janie's 50th wedding anniversary in Branson, MO!
it was a great reunion for the brower clan and our kids have been talking about it every day since.
we stayed in this adorable cape cod style resort and every family had its own little cottage. it was perfect.
we did so many fun things, but if i tried to write it all down it would take too long.
most of our time was spent at the resort playing with cousins, swimming, and hanging out. we also saw a couple shows, spent a morning kayaking and swimming at the lake, the men went golfing, the women went outlet shopping, and of course we ate a lot of great food.
charlie and madeline are the best of friends and had sleep overs every night. so did the other siblings. so happy to have amazing cousins!
we also spent a day and half at silver dollar city! it is an awesome theme park that had no shortage of big rides and fun shows. it should be noted that grandma janie didn't miss out on any of the rides!
while at SDC, we saw the harlem globetrotters perform. they pulled several people from the crowd for various parts of the show and with a group as large as ours we of course had a few people go up on stage.
tremaine had an epic musical chairs battle
cathy and chris were picked to have a....
dance off!
and jack was picked to be a judge.
this is what an amusement park looks like when you aren't tall enough for the rides:
one night we had a big celebration for bart and janie. we all dressed up in either 50's, 60's or 70's attire for the occasion, which was really fun.
each family had prepared a different game or activity. we did twister since it was released in the 60's and marc and delauana put on a hula hoop competition, which ellie won, but evan sure was a tough competitor!
the kids all went in on this family tree as a special gift to remember this celebration.
what an awesome week! so lucky to have so many people that we love so much!!! wish we were a little closer to our family, but visits and reunions will have to do.

That look on Bart's face when they are holding up that family tree together made me choke up. What a blessed Brower family you all have! And that resort sounds great for a big family reunion, so glad you all could go party together!
Those little houses are amazing! What a fun place to get together. And, I just have to say, you and Chris ROCKED the costumes!
Your dress for the party is so perfect! I’m impressed you found it. Aaannnd I need to know where you got that family tree. Because that is the coolest thing ever!
