it's been a while!
thought we'd dust off the cobwebs on our family journal and update a few things!
our summer was fantastic, minus the broken arm for Owen on our very first day of summer vacation. talk about bad timing! he took a tumble down the ladder of the trampoline while getting off and happened to land on one of the tramp's support frames on the ground and broke his right elbow in two spots. luckily the cast was off in a few weeks.
other than that we did a lot of packing, organizing, and dejunking because we bought a house! and a few days later we went to FL for our vacation! again, not the most ideal timing, but it worked! we had been searching for a house all year while living here and this one just felt right. its on 5 beautiful acres and in the school district we wanted (Just barely! we are the last house in the district!). BUT! its definitely a fixer upper and needs some serious TLC. Luckily, grandma and grandpa came up during the move to help us get the old house packed up and do some work on the kids rooms so they'd be ready for us to move in. Chris and Dad worked SO HARD for a solid week, burning the midnight oil each night and waking before the sun was up to get back at it. so thankful for their efforts.

summer camp. jack and Ellie went to a survivalist outdoor camp for the week, Charlie went to a lego robotics camp, and Owen went to an outdoor adventure day camp that week. super fun for everyone!
