summertime happenings

I don't think any other season compares to summer. sure Christmas is special and halloween is down right magical, but when thinking about an entire season, summer takes the cake! heres a run down of what we've been up to so far this summer:

get togethers with friends before we take off next month

many, many get togethers with Anna and her sister Kate. they moved this month up by Fayetteville. we'll get the girls together one more time before our move though!

we went ahead and got season passes to the waterpark this summer, not sure how it would work with our trip to Florida and preparations for the move. its a good thing we did! we've spent many mornings swimming before coming home and organizing closets and dejunking

and of course after hours of swimming a nap or two (complete with a gatorade mustache!) is needed to power up before more packing

there is still plenty of time for relaxing, hanging out, and leisurely mornings

jack went to a two day soccer camp held in June... from 1-3pm.... in Arkansas.... in June...
it was HOT

lots of magic has been happening at our house too! jack has become a card trick master and Ellie has put on a couple magic shows

in June we celebrated our #1 dad!

its always refreshing to go through everything and declutter. I really love that feeling. surprisingly, the only two things that have been hard for me to let go of are Ellies' violin and jack's banjo.

Charlie saved up his allowance for a long time and finally bought a big lego ninjago set that he and Jack built.

we had a special visit from a missionary that had served in our area a while back that we thought was a phenomenal guy. it was fun to catch up with him before we move and before he goes home.

jack and Ellie are trying to master the unicycle

slowly but surely!

and mostly, our house looks like this now-

thanks to my mom coming for a two week visit, we've got most everything packed that we can at this point, plus lots of deep cleaning has been done too. we were able to lock down a rental house that seems like it'll be a great fit for us in an adorable little village outside of Columbus. it has great school ratings and its only a 10 min drive to work for Chris. we are feeling really good and ready for August 10th, our move day!
