august highlights

#1 highlight of August was when Jack and I were matching... nothing cooler for a high school boy than matching his mama (wink wink)!

the kids started school!
Owen 1st
Charlie 5th
Ellie 8th
Jack 9th

all of these kids go to different schools, which is CRAZY!
elementary, intermediate, middle, and high school.
that is a LOT of emails every day from different schools, plus teachers, plus coaches. wow.

jack started seminary and is really enjoying it. he has no problems waking up early, so getting him there for his 6:45 class is easy. he has been waiting to start seminary for a long time. in fact, when we lived in Arkansas he asked the seminary teacher when he was about 8 or 9 if he could go to seminary.

all of the work outs, all of the practices, all of the effort this summer was worth it when jack made the JV soccer team for Granville High School!

this was his big high school debut game!

Charlie started orchestra this year!!! he thought he wanted to play bass, but after testing it out and feeling like it may be hard for him to control, he settled on the viola and made his Aunt Rikki very proud!

we had our annual Back To School Feast!
our family theme for the 2021-2022 school year is
Doctrine and Covenants 88:63

Draw near unto me and I will draw near unto you; seek me diligently and ye shall find me; ask, and ye shall receive; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

Owen had a play date with his friend Colton at the trampoline park. at the last minute, Ellie decided she wanted to go too. well, within 1 minute of jumping she landed wrong and hurt her ankle. the doc at urgent care said the X-ray didn't show a break or fracture, just a sprained ankle. but we are thinking we probably should had a second opinion cause it took for ever to heal! poor kid was on crutches for a while, but she is pretty dang tough!!!

we had a fun birthday dinner for uncle Marc!

we made sushi!
